A journal with a very simple cover, where purely by chance the word MEMORIES is spelled out just in the right place on the front of the book.
I made the base from a Nescafe Mocha box, covered with patterned paper, inked around the edges, glued on the label, then sealed with Mod Podge.
The pages (I use 100gsm photo paper, slightly thicker than basic printer paper) were cut to size then coffee dyed, stamped, folded into signatures and stitched into the spine. I used the very basic 3-hole pamphlet stitch with the knot hidden in envelopes in the centre of each signature.
Then added the final touches of hessian trim on the spine, metal book corners and a library-style pocket on the inside cover.
